Appalachian Forest Consultants' Story
AFC has 7 degreed professionals at-the-ready to
meet your forest management needs. We have
"home bases" in Johnstown, Dubois, Ridgeway,
Markleysburg, Millerstown, Pottsville, and Lemont.
In 2007 Michael T. Wolf partnered with AFC. After
working as a professional forester in many arenas,
including industry and education/outreach, Mike has
joined AFC and the private consulting sector. Mike
has a strong background in forest management and
is a passionate forest health advocate.
In 2012, AFC's team of professionals expanded to
include Mark E. Banker, Certified Wildlife Biologist
and Certified Prescribed Burner. Mark has worked for
both state agencies and non-profit wildlife
organizations since graduating with a Master's
Degree in Wildlife Science from VA Tech in 1994.
Most recently, Mark was Director of Development with
the American Chestnut Foundation's Northern
Appalachians Field Office, and Senior Biologist with
the Ruffed Grouse Society. Mark brings a great
degree of professionalism to AFC's new Wildlife
Services division.
